Javier Aguirre is an exceptional case in our cinema history, and in general film history. While working as a director of commercial blockbuster movies, he made avant-garde films with actors like Javier Bardem, Fernando Fernan Gomez, Esperanza Roy, Adolfo Marsillach, Emma Cohen, …., even Borges recorded his voice for one of Aguirre’s works. In his experimental films he adapted works of Beckett, Borges, Alberti, Pessoa, etc. Through this film we approach Javier Aguirre´s work, or at least we try to, exploring how we should start a film about him.
Shortlisted for the 28 Goya Awards
