DAVID MARTÍN PORRAS

He graduated in Audovisual Communication in Barcelona and worked in Pedro Almodovar’s production en El Deseo. In 2013, he won a grant from “La Caixa” Fondation and got a Master in Cine Direction in the University of California in Los Angeles in 2010. Among his multiawardees short films you find Ida y vuelta, La viuda and Inside the Box, where he worked with prestigious actresses like María Conchita Alonso, Regina King or Summer Glau.
He directed his first feature film in 2011, Stealing Summers, starring James Jagger, Sophie Auster and Wilson Bethel. In 2017, he directed the TV movie Unwritten Obsession for Lifetime channel. His work has been selected in more than 100 international festivals like South by Southwest, Palm Springs, Interfilm Berlin or Seminci, and received more than 60 awards and a nomination at the Goya in Best short film category. David belongs to the prestigious ABC/Disney Directing Program, and his last script, A Texas Story, won a grant from Ibermedia in 2013.
In 2018, David will release his new feature film The Chain.
