Born in Madrid, he is a film director and screenwriter. He began his career making documentaries for TV. He has been nominated for an Oscar and several Goya awards. He is a member of the Academy of American Cinema. He has won more than 200 awards. In 2016 he is making his first feature film, ‘Amar’.
