MANUELA BURLÓ MORENO
Director and screenwriter she has a degree in dramatic arts from the Superior School of Dramatic Arts of Murcia (ESAD), completed her studies in Madrid School of Film and Audiovisual (ECAM) and in the Cine Institute of Madrid (NIC).
She started with the short film “Dolores” which received a lot of recognition, as the prize of the Jury in The International Festival of Cinema in San José (California), and a lot of national and international prizes and selections.
Her second short film “Quiero estar el resto de mi vida contigo” won one of the prizes in the Freak International Film Festival in Mexico. Moreover, the film has more than 100 international selections, including the New York International Film Festival and Bermuda International Film Festival (Festival where are pre-selected the movies for the Oscars). Her first short film has also been selected in those festivals. This second work has been released in the famous program Metrópolis on Channel 2 of TVE.
Then she directs “Camas” with Momento production, a short film which receives more than fifteen awards and a lot of selections all around the world. The film was shown in New York Lincoln Center. After that, she directs “Cloe”, short film winner of the distribution award of the IX edition of the Notodofilmfest.
All of her short films were bought and released by Canal +, TVE and various televisions in other countries.
She directed the videoclip “Telescopio” from Alis by BMG, as well.
Later, she directs two short films “Lo sé” (Best Project of the XXV edition in Medina del Campo Festival and winner in the XVI edition of Málaga Cine Festival), and “Pipas” (nominated at the Goyas, and winner in two categories at the XI edition of the Notodofilmfest, for best screenplay and best direction). She also works in advertising, directing for clients like Once, Real Madrid, Iberia, Ford, Blink (award winner in The Iberoamericano Festival de Publicidad), etc.
Nostromo Pictures Productions calls her to take the direction of the comedy movie “Como Sobrevivir a una despedida”, which signs her debut in a feature film.
In 2016, she release her second feature film “Rumbos”, with a personal screenplay and produced by Arcadia Motion Pictures, Atresmedia and distributed by Sony Pictures.
