Iván Cerdán Bermúdez was born in Madrid in 1976. He is a graduate of Law, Literary Theory and Comparative Literature. He has made various short films which have received national and international recognition, such as ‘Anclaje’, ‘Reconocerse’, ‘Olimpiadas’, Carnívooras’ and have won awards at the Festival de Cosenza, Marbella, Berlín, Almería, Sagunt… He writes about cinema in the Occidente magazine and he regularly publishes fiction short stories in various literary magazines in Spain and Mexico. He is currently working on two plays ‘Los últimos días de Philip Seymour Hoffman’ and ‘El adiós de Fernando el católico’. He has published one novel, ‘Turbio’ with the Huerga y Fierro publishing house. He was a finalist for the ‘Irreverente’ International Prize with his novel ‘Confesiones de un anciano mientras le juzgan en Miami’. On the 22nd of January 2016 he premiered his first feature film ‘Donde nos toca estar’, in the Filmoteca Española-Cine Dore.
