Juan Bros
Filmografía
He started in film and photography in the Martorell Cine-Foto club. He began producing his first short films in 1975 in Super 8 and collaborating basically as a directory of photography with other directors. He was soon winning his first awards, notably the 1977 short film “La mort en punt“, which won prizes for best actor, best script and best film in the “XI Concurs del Rotllo de Terrassa”.
The arrival of video and his move for work reasons to Madrid (he is a physicist) interrupted his film-making until 2009 when he wrote the script for “Nada a Cambio“ directed by Sandra de San José for the NIC Film Institute. Since then he continued writing scripts for which he won various awards and he directed his first new short films co-produced with Claqueta Blanca.
He is a member of the Coordinadora del Cortometraje and the Plataforma de Nuevos Realizadores, a founding member of El Cortometrajista and co-creator, together with Gerardo de las Morenas, of ‘Sanse, Cortos en Abierto’ to show short films in San Sebastián de los Reyes (Madrid).
