Juan Manuel Chumilla-Carbajosa
A film-maker, writer and multidisciplinary artist, he studied at the Centro Sperimetale di Cinematografia in Rome. Following his international success as a short film maker he had his debut in professional cinema with Elías Querejeta, together with other directors of that time such as Julio Medem or Gracia Querejeta. His last films are a constant balance between fiction and documentary which defines his very personal style. He is a pioneer in the development of new technologies and its creative applications. Among his most representative works are ‘El Infierno Prometido’ (1993-2013), ‘Zapping’ (1999), ‘Desnudos desnudos’ (2003), ‘El agua de la vida’ (2008) and ‘The Unmaking of’ (2010). Actors such as Ginés García-Millán, Paz Vega, Eduard Fernández or Antón Valén have made their debut with him in cinema.
