PEDRO B. ABREU
Pedro B. Abreu (1983), Director and screenwriter resident in Barcelona. Degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Cardenal Herrera University CEU. He completed his training at the Swedish University of Art, Culture and Communication in Malmö, where he made his first film fiction works. Low-budget short films, shot on video, which got an excellent reception at festivals, reaching into the official section of the most important film festival in Sweden (International Film Festival of Goteborg), and treasuring various national awards. “El monte de la luna” was his final work as Master in Cinematographic Direction for ESCAC, in which he now collaborates as a teacher. Present at the 62nd edition of the Cannes Film Festival, he was awarded as the best national short film of 2009 by the Spanish Short Film Agency (ACE). In 2018 he premiered his first feature film, “Blue Rai”, winner of the Silver Biznaga for the public prize in the Zonacine section of the Malaga Film Festival, and was awarded the Official Selection at the 26 FCM-PNR with the award Best Sound of National Feature Film.
